Nevaeh Evaughn James is a sixteen-year-old resident of Anchorage, Alaska, with a deep passion for education, family, basketball, and
women’s empowerment through athletics and physical fitness. She is enrolled in a dual academic program at the University of Alaska Anchorage and the Anchorage School District designed for highly advanced students. Nevaeh is on track to complete her Associate Degree requirements by December 2024 six months before her high school graduation. Nevaeh is an advocate for women’s independence, strength, and individuality, including the ability to protect oneself. Her experiences have shown her that athletic strength brings benefits, primarily mental clarity, confidence, and self-love.
