Siyona Karkera, 17, is the first Indian American Miss Arkansas Teen USA and aspires to become a pediatric psychiatric nurse. A professional model represented by Kim Dawson, a tutor at Kumon, and President of Little Rock Mayor’s Youth Council, Siyona is a passionate advocate for youth mental health. Siyona works with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) as a youth ambassador to destigmatize youth mental health and was recognized by Arkansas Governor Sanders for her efforts. She has taken her message nationwide with her platform S.M.I.L.E., delivering school presentations and online videos that have reached over 30,000 viewers.
