Sofia Forrest-Turner, 18, is an unstoppable force, driven by her boundless determination and unyielding dedication to making a difference. Overcoming the challenges of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, she founded a non-profit organization to raise awareness about this rare disorder. This fall, Sofia will embark on her journey at UC Berkeley, immersing herself in the study of marine science and integrative biology while showcasing her talent as a member of the Division 1 athletics Cal Dance Team. Proficient in French and Mandarin Chinese, she has not only achieved national recognition but has also established her own successful business, “Sofia’s Soap Lab,” empowering women to pursue entrepreneurship.
